The AutoCAD Draftsman will play a crucial role in the preparation of shop drawings and submittal packages, ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications and standards. This position requires field measuring and drawing development based on precise measurements, as well as effective communication with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow and learn about the construction and manufacturing industry, developing their AutoCAD skills while contributing to the team's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of shop drawings and submittal packages
• Field measuring and drawing development based on measurements
• Communication with Engineers and Project Managers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2-year AutoCAD degree or equivalent
• AutoCAD experience
• Ability to read design drawings
• Eagerness to grow and learn about the construction and manufacturing industry
• Eagerness to develop AutoCAD skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills; both internal and external
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Nice-to-haves

• 3-5 years of experience producing shop drawings for metal panels or curtain wall (or similar experience producing Architectural Drawings)
• Experience reading construction project specifications
• Knowledge of the construction industry and building codes
