About the position

The AutoCAD Draftsman position involves creating detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. The role requires precision and attention to detail, as well as collaboration with engineers and architects to ensure that drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software.
• Interpret design specifications and requirements to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project specifications and standards.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.
• Ensure all drawings are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documents.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to AutoCAD drawings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in drafting or a related field a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other related design software.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with other design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience modeling and/or working with 3D models a plus.
• Experience in marina and/or dock industry a plus.
