About the position

As an Auto Damage Field Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in our claims handling process, providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail. This position involves inspecting damage to various vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles, either virtually or physically. You will be responsible for writing damage repair estimates, completing total loss valuations, and negotiating settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, and customers. This role requires a strong understanding of auto collision estimating, as you will utilize programs such as CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell to create precise and comprehensive estimates. In this position, you will engage with customers through various communication methods, including face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and video chats. Your ability to empathize and communicate effectively will be essential in guiding customers through the claims process. You will also be tasked with investigating claims, evaluating damages, and determining coverage based on policy agreements. As a negotiator, you will work to reach fair settlements while adhering to legal and business standards. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation of your work in our claims system, ensuring compliance with company policies. This is not an entry-level position; candidates must have prior experience in auto collision estimating. You will be required to attend a week of training in Wheeling, IL, to ensure you are proficient in your new role. Responsibilities

  • Inspect damage to vehicles virtually or physically.
  • Write damage repair estimates using auto estimating programs.
  • Complete total loss valuations and negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate with customers through various channels to guide them through the claims process.
  • Investigate claims by reviewing damage and interpreting policies.
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers and vendors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of claims in the system.
  • Utilize multiple tools for claims processing and settlement.

Requirements

  • Experience writing auto collision estimates using CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in writing estimates.
  • Comfortable with technology and various claims processing platforms.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 18 months+ experience in auto collision estimating.
  • Experience with customer service in a claims environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
