About the position

This position involves performing experienced service maintenance work while operating moderately complex automotive vehicles or equipment. The role requires routine automotive service and maintenance, primarily focused on the Central Area/Cocoa. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The hourly pay ranges from $17.88 to $19.67, with actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine automotive service and maintenance on moderately complex vehicles and equipment.
• Operate a ten-wheel standard shift dump truck and other automotive vehicles as required.
• Engage in heavy physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
• Respond to emergency duties in the event of hurricanes, major storms, or other disasters that threaten the area.

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience operating moderately complex automotive vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with a ten (10) wheel standard shift dump truck is required.
• Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in the construction of drainage swales and maintenance of drainage ditches is preferred.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license prior to employment and maintain it during employment.
