The Auto Glass Technician Trainee position at Safelite is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to start a career in auto glass installation and repair. This position offers comprehensive training, both hands-on and in the classroom, to equip trainees with the necessary skills to become certified technicians. Responsibilities

• Install and repair auto glass under supervision.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems as part of the training.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Study and pass testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and utilize company-issued tools.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver's license required.
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma/GED/equivalent preferred; ability to read and write.

Nice-to-haves

• Natural mechanical ability.
• Experience in customer service or a related field.

Benefits

• Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.90/hour, increasing to $24.70/hour after training and certification.
• Earn $5/set of wiper blades when added for customer safety.
• Potential for promotion within the first year.
• Earn up to $28.80/hour as a Senior Tech and up to $30.70/hour as a Master Tech.
