About the position
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales and profitability of the store, directly supervising associates in a Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts retail environment. This role encompasses management functions such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel management, alongside direct sales to customers. The Store Manager plays a crucial role in promoting sales programs and ensuring the overall success of store operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales and inventory management.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Generate new sales accounts through cold calling and customer visits.
- Grow store profits by suggesting new products and promotions.
- Maintain and submit call logs as required by the District Manager.
- Accurately manage inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
- Instruct staff on handling difficult sales situations.
- Assign specific duties to employees.
- Hire, train, and evaluate store personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Perform work activities of subordinates, including cleaning and organizing the store.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of auto parts experience.
- Management experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- ASE certifications preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in supervising staff.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
