About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will play a crucial role in strategically targeting new business opportunities to maximize long-term revenue streams. This position involves developing, implementing, and managing an ongoing book of business to achieve aggressive monthly sales goals. The TSM will be responsible for all duties associated with this role, which includes not only the pursuit of new prospects but also the maintenance of relationships with existing customers to increase sales of the company's automotive and industrial coatings products. In this role, the TSM will be expected to maintain consistent relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met effectively. This includes cultivating the team by using and supporting staff to address current customers' needs. The TSM will make sales calls on assigned accounts and assist customers with technical information, color, and painting issues. To enhance accuracy and efficiency in customer ordering and inventories, the TSM will utilize various tools and technologies. Continual skill development through sales and leadership training is a key expectation for this position. The TSM will focus on organizing customer files and communication through electronic media, demonstrating urgency, persistence, energy, and a contagious sales drive. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Collision Center or Dealership Management experience
  • At least 3 to 4 years' experience in automotive coatings or related sales
  • New business development skills to work with prospects and close sales
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet weekly sales goals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and computer literacy
