About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at National Coatings and Supplies will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding the company's market presence in the automotive and industrial coatings sector. This position is centered around strategically targeting new business opportunities to maximize long-term revenue streams. The TSM will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an ongoing book of business, with a focus on achieving aggressive monthly sales goals. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, where the TSM will develop new prospects and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales of the company's products. In addition to sales responsibilities, the TSM will cultivate the team by supporting staff to meet current customers' needs. This includes making sales calls on assigned accounts and assisting customers with technical information, color, and painting issues. The TSM will utilize various tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in customer ordering and inventory management. Continuous skill development through sales and leadership training is also a key aspect of this role, ensuring that the TSM remains effective in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate urgency, persistence, energy, and a contagious sales drive. They will also focus on customer file organization and communication using electronic media, ensuring that all interactions are efficient and effective. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Collision Center or Dealership Management experience
  • At least 3 to 4 years' experience in automotive coatings or related sales
  • New business development skills to work with prospects and close sales
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet weekly sales goals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and computer literacy
