About the position
The Auto Shop Helper position at Caliber Collision involves a variety of customer service, stock keeping, and housekeeping duties aimed at enhancing the overall customer service experience. The role requires maintaining cleanliness in both the front office and production areas, assisting with vehicle maintenance, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the front office, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting.
- Maintain the daily housekeeping of the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, and disposing of unwanted parts.
- Assist in cleaning spray booths and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
- Drive company vehicles to run shop errands or pick up parts; drive customer vehicles for pick up and delivery.
- Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Perform minor equipment and building maintenance/repairs when necessary.
- Assist in Make Ready when necessary.
- Ensure all cars are protected for inclement weather and secure all vehicles, ensuring vehicle keys are separate and secure.
- Comply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
- Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with the Caliber team and customers.
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance.
