About the position
The Auto Tech Adjunct Faculty position at Union College involves teaching evening courses in Automotive Technology for the Spring 2025 semester. The faculty member is responsible for delivering course content in accordance with the approved syllabus, utilizing interactive teaching methods, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and engaging with diverse student backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabus and schedule.
- Incorporate diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into course content.
- Utilize library resources, writing, and academic technologies in teaching.
- Meet all scheduled class meetings and advise on absences promptly.
- Maintain accurate grade and attendance records and submit reports as required.
- Participate in the assessment of learning outcomes and use results for course planning.
- Plan in advance for the availability of supplies and equipment for classes.
- Submit progress reports on students and discuss any issues with appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to college policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree with ASE certifications or equivalent education and experience.
- Some teaching experience required, preferably at the community college level.
