About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter position at Actalent involves assisting with the preparation of complex drawings for various substation projects. The role requires proficiency in CAD systems and the ability to produce project deliverables efficiently while adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget. The position also includes mentoring and training staff, ensuring high-quality standards in drawing production, and participating in the QA/QC process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a full range of drawing production work.
• Produce project deliverables in an efficient and budget-conscious manner.
• Assist with CAD drawing production and project execution.
• Print, scan, and submit drawing packages.
• Maintain high CAD proficiency and mastery of current CAD systems.
• Effectively use multiple application packages where necessary.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff.
• Review and adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage resources effectively.
• Identify priority tasks and implement plans of execution.
• Communicate workload with team and management.
• Maintain record of client or company CAD standards.
• Provide quality feedback on work.
• Assist in the QA/QC process.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Drafting, and CAD.
• 1-2 years of drafting experience.
• Experience in utilities preferred; oil and gas or architecture experience is also acceptable.
• Proficiency in Microstation, Revit, and Inventor.
