This is a 100% remote position for an AutoCAD Drafter at an engineering firm located in Livonia, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with a minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in these software applications. The role requires proficiency in cutting in roads and utilizing the grading tool within Civil 3D. Candidates should also possess a construction background, with experience in landfill, pipeline, or stormwater projects being a significant advantage. The position involves working closely with team members and clients, necessitating effective communication skills. The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 per year, and it is a permanent role requiring an associate degree in a relevant field. The work hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a structured schedule for the remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut in roads using Civil 3D software.
• Perform grading tasks using Civil 3D.
• Design and create record drawings, details, grading, and conduct volume and quantity analysis on AutoCAD - Civil 3D.
• Assist a Professional Engineer in various design, phasing, and budget planning projects.
• Develop construction record drawings for gas collection systems, landfill caps/liner systems, and various stormwater controls using AutoCAD - Civil 3D.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Experience with landfill, pipeline, or stormwater projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
