About the position

The Autoclave Operator at Aerobond Composites is responsible for operating autoclaves and ensuring compliance with work instructions in the aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires effective communication with supervisors and management, as well as a focus on maintaining quality and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate 1 or more autoclaves.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor, management, and project engineers.
• Eliminate downtime on machines and report any issues to management immediately.
• Ensure all labor hours are accurately recorded.
• Familiarize with all appropriate work instructions and procedures, requesting assistance when needed.
• Follow traveler instructions to meet standards and requirements.
• Mark operation completion stamps and OSV stamps upon conclusion of every operation.
• Ensure accurate entry of job information into autoclave computer for reliable results.
• Obtain and include reports of autoclave results with job documentation.
• Maintain individual efficiency and quality in operations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Complete weekly operator maintenance checklist.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety requirements and APC safety procedures.
• Follow Export Compliance Program guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
• On-the-job training in procedures and work instructions.
