Autodesk is looking for a talented Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing Access team leading the User Management and Administration capabilities supporting all Autodesk customers! As a Principal SRE you will be building, supporting and improving the cloud infrastructure that powers our services. The User Management & Access services are part of business-critical systems that must be highly robust and your role centers around ensuring the utmost reliability, availability, and performance of these systems.

  • Architecting, building and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure on AWS to support millions of daily users
  • Supporting our production systems and ensuring operational aspects are taken into account in the day-to-day engineering work
  • Automating processes to improve system reliability and introducing best practices in continuous integration and deployment
  • Leading efforts in monitoring, alerting, operational visibility, and driving significant efficiency improvements
  • Building tools and frameworks for incident response and resolution while ensuring system compliance with the highest security standards
  • Work to reduce manual processes through automation to make the teams around you more efficient and productive
  • Collaborate inside and outside the team, sharing expertise and encouraging best practices and high technical standards
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar field
  • A strong background in fostering a culture of continuous delivery, automation and agile development
  • Extensive experience and expertise working in production with AWS cloud services and infrastructure concepts
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and secrets management (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Vault)
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD practices, container deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker)
  • Experience with building observability into services and infrastructure (e.g. CloudWatch, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace)
  • Experience with Load Balancing platforms and solid understanding of networking stack, routing protocols and firewall concepts
  • Familiarity with managing artifact repositories for source code, rpm and docker images (e.g. Git, Artifactory)
  • Understanding of common authentication/authorization methodologies and protocols
