About the position

The Automated Regression Tester at Coventek Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the development and execution of automated tests. This position is focused on transforming business test cases into automated test coverage, enhancing the efficiency of the current regression test suite, and diagnosing any failures that may arise during testing. The tester will utilize the Tricentis TOSCA tool to create fully automated tests that operate without manual intervention, thereby streamlining the testing process and reducing the time required for regression testing. In this role, the tester will be responsible for rapidly updating tests based on changes in the application, contributing to the build-out of lights-out automation, and creating test coverage using risk-based testing techniques. The Automated Regression Testing Team aims to fill the coverage gap from the previous WORKSOFT test suite to the current TOSCA test suite, maintain the existing TOSCA test suite, and add new test coverage to support updates to the ELIAS application. Additionally, the tester will develop additional validations for both new and existing tests, enhancing the test suite to provide additional capabilities such as supporting testing against multiple versions of the application. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of automated functional regression testing, data-driven test development techniques, and object recognition. They will also demonstrate the ability to develop creative solutions to challenges encountered during the development of a repeatable automated test suite. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a project team are essential, as the tester will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure the successful execution of testing strategies.
