About the position

The Automation Account Manager at Mesa Energy Systems is responsible for driving sales growth in HVAC automation solutions by prospecting new clients, managing existing relationships, and developing tailored proposals. This role requires a strong focus on client engagement, sales strategy execution, and collaboration with internal teams to meet corporate objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new accounts and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to clients.
  • Manage client pricing, payments, and accounts receivable (A/R).
  • Provide quality assurance (QA) support and participate in industry trade shows.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective clients at various organizational levels.
  • Prepare client proposals and estimates using standard templates and pricing models.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain an accurate sales funnel and participate in forecasting activities.
  • Achieve written annual sales plans and targets.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and team members to improve sales processes.
  • Commit to personal growth and development as a Sales Professional.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline is desired.
  • 3+ years of technical commercial/industrial automation experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial/industrial automation sales experience is desired.
  • Experience in designing, selling, and installing Distech Controls, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls is desired.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure including network topology, RAID data storage, IoT, and cybersecurity is desired.
  • Experience selling energy-based solutions with guaranteed savings is desired.
  • Strong customer presentation skills and sales aptitude are required.
  • Financial acumen including cost modeling for sales proposals is required.
  • Experience in developing technical and cost proposals is required.
  • Experience working with a CRM tool is required.
  • Self-starter and independent decision maker is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong Excel skills.

  • Experience in energy management solutions.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and controls.
