About the position

The Automation Analyst 3 position at UW Medicine IT Services is a full-time role focused on enhancing operational efficiency through automation solutions. The analyst will collaborate with project managers and technical teams to implement Robotic Process Automations (RPAs) and ensure that technical solutions meet customer needs. This role supports the mission of UW Medicine by improving information technology services across various healthcare institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Technical Analysts, and customers to ensure technical solutions meet customer needs.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity automations.
  • Promote UW Medicine's growth in information technology through Robotic Process Automations (RPAs).
  • Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and design UiPath solutions.
  • Communicate responsibilities and expectations to project team members.
  • Manage daily work assignments and identify/manage issues, risks, and decisions.
  • Ensure quality deliverables and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, focusing on RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
  • Experience in executing complex business analyses within an IT environment, including scope definition and requirements gathering.
  • Demonstrated experience with research and analysis techniques, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Proven customer service orientation with a history of strong business partnerships.
  • Experience in process improvement and standards development.
  • Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional work groups.
  • In-depth understanding of software development and service management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Kanban, ITIL, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical and administrative information systems applications.
  • Ability to apply financial concepts such as Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Knowledge of industry standard Business Analyst best practices (e.g., IIBA BABOK).
  • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills.
