About the position
The Automation and Operational Intelligence Lead for Global Digital Water at AECOM is responsible for driving sustainable growth in the digital water sector by developing and executing strategic plans that enhance automation and operational intelligence in water engineering projects. This role involves building relationships with global water utility clients, implementing business strategies, and leading teams to deliver innovative solutions that transform the water engineering market.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute a strategic growth plan for the Digital Water division.
- Identify new services and potential revenue streams to capitalize on market trends.
- Engage with cross-functional leaders to develop a clear service and go-to-market strategy.
- Create and execute a technology and digital transformation roadmap for water engineering.
- Develop and implement operations, processes, and procedures to enhance best practices in digital transformation.
- Lead critical projects ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
- Continuously develop new products and solutions to enhance capabilities in Automation and Operational Intelligence.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Water Resources Engineering.
- 12 years of relevant experience in digital water management, automation systems, and intelligence solutions.
- 4 years of leadership experience in water engineering projects.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing digital strategies in the water engineering industry.
- Experience in water treatment process automation systems planning and implementation.
- Strong understanding of industrial cybersecurity for water infrastructure.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or Ph.D.) in Water Resources Engineering or related field.
- 15 years of relevant experience in digital water management and automation systems.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Proven success in driving digital transformation initiatives in multinational organizations.
