About the position

The Automation Architect role at Inspire Brands focuses on establishing and maintaining automation standards and tooling across various technology domains. This position involves leading automation projects, collaborating with application managers, and developing a comprehensive automation strategy to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. The role also includes mentoring team members and ensuring the successful implementation of automation practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain automation tooling and standards.
  • Identify automation opportunities and lead efforts to codify automation.
  • Coordinate automated tasks across different technology domains.
  • Lead automation projects, POCs, and new initiatives.
  • Create a test automation framework on a program level using best practices and suitable automation tools stack.
  • Collaborate with application managers to establish test standards, practices, and toolsets across all levels of testing.
  • Work with delivery partners to build solutions on testing and automation to achieve CI/CD.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency using automation, virtualization, and integration with CI/CD pipeline.
  • Partner with DevOps and Platform engineers to fully automate testing throughout the release and delivery processes in the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Meet with business and technology leads to understand objectives and map out testing automation requirements.
  • Prepare documentation on selected tools and established processes for maintaining reusable automated test scripts and virtual services.
  • Develop and champion the organization's automation strategy.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of related experience in automation and development.
  • 5 years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP implementations; DevOps and CI/CD; Containers and visualization; automated build management tools; and GitLab.
