About the position

The Automation Controls Engineer will play a crucial role in revolutionizing manufacturing operations by designing, developing, programming, and implementing advanced control systems for manufacturing equipment. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the reliability of control systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and test PLCs and HMIs
• Program and maintain PLCs and HMIs to ensure smooth operation of automated manufacturing equipment
• Design and develop control systems to optimize hardware and software performance
• Continuously adopt the latest automation technologies & best practices to improve system efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new automated solutions
• Test, debug, and troubleshoot systems to ensure reliability and safety compliance
• Lead automation projects, managing timeliness and resources
• Document system designs, processes, and provide training to staff
• Offer technical support and training for existing systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in programming, controls, and automation engineering in equipment design or related field
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks and control systems
• PLC programming: Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi, HMI/SCADA development, Programming languages: Python, C/C++ or Java, and AutoCAD
