About the position

The Actuation & Control Valve Technical Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise for valve actuation and control valve equipment within a designated territory. This role involves collaborating with internal sales teams and industry leaders to support the growth of the Actuation & Control product line, while fostering strong customer relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the recognized subject matter expert in control valves and actuation.
  • Participate in sales calls with key accounts and Bray sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and the A&C Business Development team to execute strategic sales activities.
  • Develop relationships with customers to understand their business needs and create tailored product solutions.
  • Implement regional strategies for key markets such as Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, and Chemicals.
  • Organize and lead technical training seminars for local sales teams and channel partners.
  • Act as the local technical expert to troubleshoot and resolve technical field-level problems.
  • Provide feedback on industry trends, product pricing, and product gaps within the region.
  • Review and validate A&C sales quotations to ensure proper product selection.
  • Engage with regional Application Engineering and Inside Sales teams for accurate and timely quotations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering, Mechanical, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 25 years of successful experience in engineering, technical sales, or industrial sales, particularly involving valves and flow control.
  • Strong understanding of control valves, actuation systems, and associated markets.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs and translate them into appropriate product solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer service and technical presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, with strong documentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Butterfly Valves, Ball Valves, Knife Gate Valves, and Control Valves.
