Automation Developer Analyst Lead

About the position

The Automation Developer Analyst Lead at Huntington National Bank is responsible for providing technical vision and direction within the automation application domain. This role involves developing automation scripts, maintaining automation frameworks, and training team members on technical criteria and Huntington's automation standards. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality assurance through effective testing practices and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving and maintaining the general testing framework for software releases.
• Analyze and translate functional requirements to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives.
• Automate test cases, maintain the automation framework, and execute on a regular basis.
• Create and maintain test cases and test data using test automation tools.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on documentation.
• Participate in project group meetings.
• Maintain the automation framework according to Huntington's architecture standards.
• Write, review, and maintain automation test scripts in RubyMine and other automation tools.
• Facilitate defect management meetings and identify defects to ensure quality delivery.
• Perform all aspects of verification and provide updates as requested.
• Develop and implement well-defined test plans.
• Manage defect tracking and provide updates as requested.
• Participate in production validation and support as needed.
• Comply with Huntington's SDLC standards and adhere to testing strategies and procedures.
• Train other members on the use of automation and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the delivery organization to maximize efficiency in software delivery tools and processes.
• Participate in product design discussions to understand systems being created and modified.
• Monitor the software delivery and testing industry for advancements and trends.
• Analyze metrics and identify opportunities for corrective action.
• Design and maintain automation scripts for task delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of Quality Assurance experience
• 5+ years of experience with industry standard testing/development, quality assurance methodologies, verification, and validation processes
• 3+ years experience in building automation scripts using Cucumber or Spec flow.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Team Foundation Server with defect tracking and document management
• Proficiency in using testing tools like Microsoft Test Manager, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, Rubymine, SOAP UI, Mainframes
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming preferably Java or Ruby
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's in computer science, CIS or Engineering
• 5+ years' experience designing automation frameworks and performance testing using Jmeter or other technologies
• Good understanding of industry standard databases like Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server
• Active participation in the open-source community for Ruby development.
