About the position

The Automation Developer Analyst Senior is responsible for providing automation solutions for applications, focusing on both test and task automation. This role involves driving projects to delivery through automation, assisting in the automation of data and environments, and ensuring quality through various testing methodologies. The position requires proficiency in test automation tools and a strong understanding of testing practices such as TDD and ATDD.

Responsibilities

  • Translate functional requirements/design specifications into quality automated test cases.
  • Assist in software releases on an ongoing basis and coordinate the tasks and activities of the broader testing team.
  • Analyze and translate functional requirements to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives.
  • Automate test cases and execute them on a regular basis.
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data using test automation tools.
  • Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback on documentation.
  • Participate in project group meetings.
  • Write, review, and maintain automation test scripts in RubyMine and other automation tools.
  • Facilitate defect management meetings and manage defect tracking.
  • Identify defects to deliver a quality product to clients.
  • Perform verification including integration, functional, and regression testing.
  • Develop and implement well-defined test plans.
  • Participate in production validation and support as needed.
  • Comply with Huntington's SDLC standards and adhere to testing strategies & procedures.
  • Collaborate with the delivery organization to maximize efficiency in software delivery tools and processes.
  • Participate in product design discussions to understand systems being created and modified.
  • Analyze metrics and identify opportunities for corrective action.
  • Design & maintain automation scripts for task delivery, including reports, data management, and environment setup.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience including Automation experience and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience in building automation scripts using Cucumber or Specflow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or engineering.
  • Experience with industry standard testing and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience using Ruby/Cucumber or Specflow.
  • Experience with Keyword, Modular, and data-driven frameworks, performance testing using Jmeter or other open-source technologies.
  • Preferred experience with database and service testing.
  • Experience in scrum and implementing TDD or ATDD.
  • Testing & agile certifications like CSTE, CQAA, ISTQB, PSM, PSD, CSM, and development certifications like MCSD or OCAJP.
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, preferably Ruby, C#, or Java.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks like MVC.
  • Skilled in recognizing patterns and creating reusable scripts.
  • Good understanding of industry standard databases like Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server.
