About the position

The Automation Engineer will be a key member of the newly established Advanced Manufacturing group at Amcor Flexibles North America (AFNA). This role focuses on deploying automation technologies and solutions to enhance operational objectives related to safety, quality, waste reduction, and efficiency across AFNA's facilities. The engineer will manage the technology/project life cycle, including investigations, proof of concepts, pilots, requests for quotes, implementation, and sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical design focal for the Advanced Manufacturing team.
• Deploy automation technologies and solutions to meet operational objectives.
• Plan and manage the technology/project life cycle including investigations, POC, pilots, RFQs, implementation, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical design and automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of operational efficiency and waste reduction strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
