About the position

The Automation Engineer Controls position at Amcor Flexibles North America involves deploying automation technologies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality across the company's facilities. This role is part of the newly established Advanced Manufacturing group and will focus on the mechanical design aspects of automation projects, contributing to the company's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical design focal for deploying automation technologies/solutions.
• Plan and manage the technology/project life cycle including investigations, proof of concepts (POC), pilots, requests for quotes (RFQs), implementation, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with the Advanced Manufacturing team to achieve operational objectives related to safety, quality, waste, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in automation technologies and solutions deployment.
• Strong mechanical design skills.
• Ability to manage projects through their entire life cycle.
