About the position

The position involves working with teams and vendors to ensure that process control systems for new equipment and processes align with both local and global standards. The incumbent will also collaborate with equipment vendors to specify equipment requirements, ensuring compatibility with local manufacturing needs. This role is critical in maintaining and improving process control systems within the manufacturing environment, particularly in the production of innovative diabetes and obesity treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
  • Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules.
  • Act as an automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
  • Take initiative for self-development and understanding of site process control systems.
  • Adhere to automation standards and implement necessary changes to automation-related specifications and maintenance plans.
  • Support audits and inspections as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for process control systems.
  • Utilize appropriate cLEAN® tools for systematic problem solving, process improvement, and project management.
  • Operate within compliance with a quality mindset focusing on risk management and mitigation.
  • Implement effective change management processes.
  • Support corporate, IFP, local IT, and local stakeholder initiatives and projects.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university required.
  • May consider an Associate's Degree in engineering technology or related field with a minimum of two years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, or packaging systems required.
  • Minimum of three years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, or packaging systems preferred.
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in planning, organization, and execution of engineering activities is a plus.
