About the position

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer II to join our client's Site Capacity team. This role is crucial for ensuring that new processes and equipment are compliant with both local and global standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining process control systems to meet the dynamic needs of customers, business, and regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that enhance operational efficiency and quality. In this role, you will collaborate with local and global project teams to ensure process designs comply with all standards. You will develop interface agreements and align requirements with equipment vendors. Additionally, you will create and execute plans to maintain and improve process control systems in coordination with manufacturing schedules. You will also be responsible for developing and managing expense budgets for system maintenance and improvements, maintaining automation standards, specifications, and detailed maintenance plans. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during audits and inspections related to process control systems, you will coach and train colleagues and stakeholders on automation and process control best practices. Utilizing tools for systematic problem-solving, process improvement, and project management will be essential. You will ensure all changes adhere to strict quality and risk management protocols and support various corporate and local IT initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local and global project teams to ensure process designs comply with all standards.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of six years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, and/or packaging systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL systems.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project execution and completion.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
