About the position

The position involves validating media stacks on mobile devices, specifically focusing on audio, video, camera, and HDMI drivers. The role requires extensive experience in end-to-end testing and programming, with a strong emphasis on automation frameworks. This is a contract position within the Information Technology sector, aimed at enhancing the quality assurance processes for mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Validate media stack components including audio, video, camera, and HDMI drivers on mobile devices.
• Conduct end-to-end testing to ensure functionality and performance of media stacks.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using C, Python, or Perl.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues during testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Experience with media stack validation on mobile devices (phones or tablets).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks for testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Windows 8 and WHCK (Microsoft certification) testing.
• Experience in creating unit tests for software components.
• Ability to perform initial triaging of failures during testing.
• Familiarity with AutoIt for Microsoft Windows GUI testing.
