About the position

The position involves supporting standard manufacturing applications and processes in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation at Novo Nordisk. The role focuses on improving the reliability of process control systems to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements. It includes responsibilities such as ensuring production employees are knowledgeable in MES applications, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining an understanding of site MES and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support standard manufacturing applications and processes in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation.
  • Improve reliability of process control systems to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure production employees remain knowledgeable in MES applications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support maintenance and improvements to MES and related systems.
  • Demonstrate awareness of systematic problem-solving in everyday life.
  • Schedule and execute plans in coordination with operations schedules.
  • Maintain understanding of site MES and related systems as changes and upgrades occur.
  • Adhere to automation standards and implement necessary changes to automation-related specifications and maintenance plans.
  • Support MES Engineers and assist in coaching and training colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Operate in compliance with a quality first mindset.
  • Implement process changes as assigned by the manager.
  • Investigate process deviations as assigned by the manager.
  • Work closely with operations to identify process gaps and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Support corporate, IFP, local IT, and local stakeholder initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian, and general controls required.
  • Knowledgeable in Six Sigma/Lean methodologies and use of systematic problem-solving tools preferred.
