About the position

The Automation Engineer will be a key member of the Advanced Manufacturing group at Amcor Flexibles North America, focusing on deploying automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality across the company's facilities. This role involves managing the technology/project life cycle from initial investigations to implementation and sustainability, contributing to Amcor's commitment to sustainable packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical design focal for deploying automation technologies/solutions.
• Plan and manage the technology/project life cycle including investigations, POC, pilots, RFQs, implementation, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advanced Manufacturing to achieve operational objectives related to safety, quality, waste, and efficiency.
• Work on projects that impact the packaging industry and contribute to sustainability goals.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical design and automation technologies.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on technology deployment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
