About the position

The Automation Engineer (RPA, Associate) at MIL Corporation will work closely with a Federal client to deliver automation and financial management support. This role involves planning and executing automation activities, understanding financial management processes, and modernizing legacy systems to improve efficiency. The position may allow for some remote work based on client and managerial approval.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute automation activities, ensuring alignment with delivery schedules and performance parameters.
  • Understand financial management concepts and participate in teams implementing solutions for financial management services.
  • Develop new capabilities by analyzing current financial business processes and re-engineering them for modernization.
  • Provide operational support for existing systems and maximize the usage of tools procured by the government.
  • Develop new financial tools and applications, continuing the automation of financial processes on approved platforms.
  • Modernize processes that currently run on legacy technology.
  • Implement changes to systems and practices across the team.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and client staff.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years of overall experience with technology implementations.
  • Three years of experience on automation programs, including participation in Agile teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile and Kanban development methodologies.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems through teamwork and consultation.
  • Skilled in continuous improvement methodologies and change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in federal financial management.
  • Familiarity with systems supporting federal financial management services.
  • Experience with technical tools such as Jira, GitHub, UIPath, ServiceNow, Salesforce, DataBricks, and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft tools including PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Office 365.
