About the position

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative automation solutions within the manufacturing sector, particularly in industries such as life sciences, food & beverage, and specialty chemicals. This role involves collaborating with a talented team throughout the system development lifecycle and requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience in PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate customer technical requirements.
• Design and develop innovative automation solutions for the manufacturing sector.
• Work with a talented team and contribute to each phase of the system development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting ability.
• Engage in PLC programming.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with Wonderware ArchestrA or FactoryTalk is preferred.
• Client interfacing experience.
• Professional experience within industries such as life science, specialty chemical, and food & beverage.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ISA-85 standards.
• Knowledge of Batch control systems.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ANSI/ISA-88 & ANSI/ISA-95 standards.
• Experience in PLC/HMI programming.
• Systems integration experience.
• Wonderware software knowledge.
