About the position

Kindeva is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their Controls and Automation department, focusing on Inhalation and Transdermal Drug Delivery Manufacturing. The role is crucial for supporting high-speed automation lines, ensuring efficient production processes, and contributing to capital projects and improvements in existing manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC-based Controls and Automation systems.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting and debugging PLC programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop automation strategies for optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Diagnose and communicate problems, root causes, and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments to automated equipment.
  • Stay updated on PLC technology trends and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing high-speed automation/equipment design or maintenance in a regulated industry.
  • Proven experience in PLC programming and control system design in industrial automation.
  • Experience with Vision Systems programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong PLC/PAC/HMI/Networking programming knowledge utilizing Allen-Bradley software.
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics/wiring drawings using AutoCAD or related software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Experience in programming C, C++, Python.
  • Knowledge of 21 CFR -Parts 210 and 211 (FDA).
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing Coating, converting, Cartoning and Packaging Equipment.
  • Experience of Pharmaceutical Serialization.
  • Experience in CAD software like Solidworks.
