About the position

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated processes and machinery. This role involves creating detailed documentation for fully functional projects and collaborating with QA Functional testers to develop robust automated test scripts. The engineer will also be tasked with maintaining scripts to adapt to changing business needs and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze user stories
• Provide work estimates for testing user stories
• Develop robust automated test scripts based on input from QA Functional testers
• Resolve script failures during development and execution
• Identify and raise risks early in the system development life cycle
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms
• Identify and log defects, work with development to resolve, and verify fixes
• Maintain scripts to keep up with changing business needs

Requirements

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years in QA automation testing
• Efficiency and knowledge of automation processes
• Proven experience working with Selenium
• Hands-on experience testing applications on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to shift priorities and multi-task
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of database concepts and ability to create simple queries
