About the position

The Automation Operational Lead at Georgia-Pacific will play a crucial role in enhancing operational readiness and sustainability across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position focuses on leading automated guided vehicle (AGV) OEM engagement for new site installations and maintaining existing fleets, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness for fleet startups, including new fleets and vehicles being added to existing fleets.
• Conduct operational health reviews and complete action items from project or operational health studies.
• Identify improvement opportunities post fleet implementation within the project scope.
• Apply comprehensive data, metrics, and KPIs of AGV fleets to verify performance against design specifications.
• Lead optimization opportunities for long-term sustainability of Automated Guided and Laser Guided vehicles within the system.
• Organize and lead Final Performance Tests (FPT) efforts and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Operational experience with Automated Guided or Laser Guided Vehicles and automated systems.
• Experience supporting internal and external customers within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Able to travel up to 50%.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering field with emphasis in reliability engineering.
• Experience within a reliability/maintenance and/or planning capacity.
• Experience using SAP as a super user.
• Experience troubleshooting using data.
• Project management experience.
