About the position

As a Laboratory Informatics Specialist at Siemens Healthineers, you will play a crucial role in providing on-site support for our automation and middleware solutions at a dedicated MegaLab customer account. This position requires a proactive approach to system configuration, which encompasses pre-installation, installation, training, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support of Siemens Healthineers' middleware and automation products. You will be expected to support multiple operational shifts, including on-call rotations, ensuring that our systems operate smoothly and efficiently at all times. Your responsibilities will include close collaboration with on-site Siemens Healthineers management and staff across various shifts. You will be integral to the planning and execution of installations, instrument setups, and training for customer lab personnel. This role demands a high level of interaction with customers, including Laboratory Managers, Supervisors, and IT Administrators, as well as external Laboratory Information System vendors and third-party middleware companies. Your ability to respond to complex on-site system problems will be essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. In this dynamic environment, you will assist in meeting business objectives through various activities such as software installation, network setup, application configuration, and performing verification and acceptance testing. You will also be responsible for training lab personnel and providing ongoing support, both on-site and remotely. Your role will require you to follow Siemens Diagnostics escalation processes, perform software upgrades, and comply with Siemens quality and regulatory policies. You will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to change, and the capacity to develop a technical support network within Siemens to achieve results.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BS in Computing, Information Technology, or Engineering
  • Experience in Healthcare IT, security, and data privacy
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including physical ports and installation
  • Understanding of physical and logical network concepts
  • Experience with network infrastructure and remote access technologies
  • Familiarity with security concepts and application architecture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems and translate technical issues into non-technical terms
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Professional attitude and ability to work in a diverse corporate setting

  • Industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, Healthcare IT Technician, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies: SaaS, DaaS, IaaS
  • Business skills including project management and financial analysis
  • Laboratory experience such as MT or MLT and training experience within a Healthcare environment
