Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team working on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program. This program is currently transitioning into its full development phase, presenting a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of advanced missile test and checkout equipment. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with our partners at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to deliver critical technologies that are essential for national defense. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing test equipment and systems for a variety of electronic systems, including RF, telemetry, electro-optical, and radiation detection equipment. Your expertise will also extend to radio communications equipment, circuitry components, and both analog and digital computers. A significant aspect of your role will involve the design of automated test equipment (ATE) and electronic hardware, ensuring seamless integration with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) instrumentation for system production tests and validation. Key activities will include developing and designing special test equipment (STE) systems using NetAcquire, performing hardware/software integration, and troubleshooting cable and electronic system board designs. You will also provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, which will include collaboration with electronics, mechanical hardware, software, and systems engineers.
