About the position

The Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts across various platforms and technologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that application and system products meet quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The engineer will collaborate with stakeholders, track and report test results, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate bug fixes, while also providing leadership and expertise in automation methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and analyze automation test scripts and test results.
  • Conduct activities to ensure application/system products meet defined quality standards.
  • Provide comprehensive consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
  • Carry out large scope, cross-functional, and technically difficult activities.
  • Develop, implement, and administer programs within functional areas.
  • Accurately estimate tests and coordinate with team members for work activities.
  • Design and build automated testing capabilities.
  • Involve in product design to ensure test coverage meets end user requirements.
  • Record test results and report software bug fixes to meet automation criteria.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of automation efforts and schedules.
  • Coordinate with program and development management teams during the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in writing automated scripts using SQL, VB Script, Java, and Python, with SQL being the most important.
  • Experience in designing and building automated testing frameworks using tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and UFT.
  • Ability to understand and develop customized testing tool capabilities as needed by the application under test.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the Financial Domain and at least 5 years in Capital Markets.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex business logic and calculations.
  • Experience in designing automated test scripts and validations for ETL/ELT solutions for multiple parallel processing pipelines.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process in a distributed environment.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
