About the position

As an Automation QA Engineer at Thomson Reuters Special Services, you will play a crucial role in developing and reviewing automated solutions to ensure high-quality client solutions. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing test plans for multiple products, analyzing business requirements, and identifying opportunities for automation to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review automated solutions for quality assurance.
  • Create and execute test plans to support multiple products.
  • Review business requirements and design specifications for completeness and testability.
  • Analyze testing procedures and requirements.
  • Obtain requirements from stakeholders to find automation solutions.
  • Design, develop, and execute QA tests with effective automation scripts.
  • Ensure automation solutions cover all necessary aspects of a product.
  • Provide inputs and escalate issues in bug triage meetings.
  • Track, manage, and report on automation progress and goals.
  • Stay current with automation industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in writing clean, modular, reusable code (Java and Python).
  • Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with Backend and Frontend testing and automation.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based testing tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools.
