About the position

Dechert, LLP is a global specialist law firm focused on high-end legal work. The Automation Robotics Engineer will join our growing Enterprise Intelligence team and will be instrumental in implementing process automation solutions for various business functions and legal teams. This role requires a solid understanding of robotic process automation (RPA), with a preference for experience in UiPath. The ideal candidate will be passionate about exploring the vast possibilities that robotic process automation offers, contributing to the firm's innovative approach to legal services. In this position, the engineer will develop and write code using modern Object-Oriented Programming languages such as C# or similar, while demonstrating a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases. The role also involves utilizing Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics to enhance automation projects. Continuous research and staying updated with RPA industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies are essential components of this role. The engineer will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting applications software, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position encompasses the full systems life cycle, and the engineer will make recommendations on the functionality and use of robotics, contributing to the overall goals of the team and the firm. The Automation Robotics Engineer will also perform any additional duties as assigned by their manager to ensure the efficient functioning of the department, office, and firm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on cutting-edge projects and is eager to embrace new technological developments as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write code using modern Object-Oriented Programming (C#, or similar) with an understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases.
  • Utilize Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics to enhance automation projects.
  • Continuously research and stay up to date with RPA industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Design, code, test, implement, and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Make recommendations on functionality and use of robotics.
  • Contribute to overall team and firm goals.
  • Perform any and all other duties as necessary as assigned by your manager for efficient functioning of the department, Office, and Firm.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • Computer Science Degree or development certification is a plus.
  • Experience in programming languages like C#, ASP.Net.
  • Experience with scripting languages.
  • Knowledge in RPA UiPath Development, RPA Solution delivery, and RPA tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Orchestrator, building attended and unattended bots is a plus.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analytics using Alteryx.
  • Point development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge with Visual Basic is a plus.
  • Database experience is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical mindset, including problem solving, troubleshooting, logical reasoning.
  • A continuous self-learner with the ability to learn new technology.
  • Able to work on projects with a high degree of independence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional RPA tools beyond UiPath.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and services.
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment.
