About the position

The Automation Systems Technician I/II position at Grifols involves working in a warehouse environment, specifically handling plasma materials and operating automated systems. The role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of plasma classification and storage processes, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and supporting the overall mission of improving healthcare through plasma-derived medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. repeatedly
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures of -30C or colder
  • Ability to follow written procedures and communicate with customers both internal and external to assigned areas
  • Ability to use barcode readers
  • Capable of performing basic computer skills
  • Responsible for department housekeeping
  • Ability to operate conveyor systems via HMI
  • Ability to identify and separate all plasma types and intermediates for storage in Savanna WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  • Ability to interpret and verify freezer work orders as issued from SGP (Plasma Management System)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use forklift and pallet jack and make deliveries to on-site customers
  • Ability to stage freezer work orders to support plasma classification activities
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and follow detailed directions
  • Ability to perform and confirm accuracy of weekly cycle counts
  • Ability to identify correct plasma during robotic operations for Classification
  • Ability to operate robotic equipment and reset basic operational faults
  • Ability to climb 90-foot vertical ladder in -35 degree C environment
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot/reconcile faults within Automated Systems associated with robotics, conveyors, and warehouse management
  • Ability to independently learn and operate multiple inventory control systems, i.e. SAP, SGP and Savanna
  • Ability to certify in Fall Prevention Training
  • Critical thinking skills to diagnose storage issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of cGMP preferred
  • One year of Plasma Material Handling experience preferred for Level 1
  • At least one year experience at entry level, Automation Systems Tech I for Level 2
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
  • Ability to multi-task in warehouse environment
  • Possess good organization skills
