About the position

The Automation Technician at US Farathane Corporation is responsible for building, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotic and automation systems. This role requires a strong understanding of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, and various mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance of automated equipment during production.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic and automation systems.
  • Get secondary automated equipment running during production.
  • Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and pneumatic/control components.
  • Replace parts as necessary.
  • Report on the status of automation equipment.
  • Support quality and continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic modifications on fixtures.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, respecting individuality and encouraging suggestions.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, collaborating with manufacturers or field representatives as needed.
  • Fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures using metalworking machines.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Electrical/Pneumatic background required.
  • Knowledge of PLC and controls preferred.
