About the position

As an Automation Test Engineer at SkyePoint Decisions, you will play a crucial role in supporting a modernization effort for the Department of State. This position is essential for ensuring that the upgraded user interface (UI) meets all specified requirements and provides a reliable user experience. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures to verify that system requirements are met. This includes developing, maintaining, and upgrading automated test scripts, as well as writing and implementing system test cases. You will analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports, serving as a subject matter expert in testing methodologies to support user requirements. Additionally, you will participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development, focusing on user requirements analysis, test design, and test tools selection. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of cybersecurity professionals to protect sensitive data and complex systems from various threats, including cyber-attacks and insider threats. Your contributions will be valued as you work to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure and configuration deployments. This position is contingent upon customer approval, and as a SkyePoint employee, you will have the opportunity to enhance your cybersecurity skills while supporting critical information systems for our federal government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts.
  • Write, implement, and report status for system test cases.
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
  • Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements.
  • Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in UI testing, including automated testing.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Familiarity with a .NET-compatible commercially supported UI framework.
  • Understanding of the .NET platform and related technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
