About the position

The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a test automation strategy for a software-based system in a DevSecOps environment. This role involves analyzing existing regression tests, enhancing test automation, and performing routine integration, verification, and testing tasks to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current regression tests and develop a strategy to increase test automation for nightly execution.
• Enhance existing manual tests by integrating relevant components into the nightly regression tests.
• Perform routine Integration, Verification, & Test (IV&T) tasks to support the execution of PI objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Postgres and SQL databases for complex queries.
• Knowledge of scripting languages including bash, perl, and python, and ability to query Oracle DB and MongoDB.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment supporting software development and system integration.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to communicate execution status against technical requirements.
• Active U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI with SSBI Poly security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Systems Engineering (SE) or Test Execution (TE) experience on large government software development contracts.
• Experience with SE process development and deployment.
• Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools.
• Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber.
