About the position

The Automation Test Manager at Cognizant is responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in the automation testing domain. This role involves strategizing automation requirements, managing test automation frameworks, and ensuring the successful delivery of testing projects. The position requires strong leadership skills and extensive experience in test automation, particularly with tools like Selenium and Java, as well as experience in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Understand automation requirements and collaborate with teams to build automation strategies.
• Work with client points of contact to prepare test automation and functional testing plans.
• Share resource utilization plans for onshore and offshore teams with clients.
• Review test automation frameworks and scripts for current sprint deliveries, and design and execute scripts as needed.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to resolve technical and framework issues.
• Present daily test progress to client management and raise appropriate risks as needed.
• Analyze and conduct proof of concepts for planned test automation activities.

Requirements

• 9-13 years of testing and test automation experience.
• Management and leadership experience in guiding teams to resolve technical issues.
• Test automation experience with Selenium, Java, TestNG, BDD, and Cucumber.
• Experience with test automation framework customization.
• Experience in a test lead or manager role, managing delivery from teams.
• Exposure to Rally, Jenkins, and GIT.
• Experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to Guidewire and Duck Creek products.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to TypeScript and Katalon.
• Experience with various test automation tools and frameworks.
