About the position

The Automation Tester role at TEKsystems involves executing and tracking testing efforts for mobile systems, focusing on end-to-end testing and validation of mobile applications. The position requires developing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery, particularly for iOS applications. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days a week, and is contract-based with a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and track testing/validation efforts for mobile systems.
• Develop test strategy, test plan, test cases, and test scripts for comprehensive testing.
• Perform testing of on-device experiences for users on various mobile applications.
• Write automated tests for iOS applications using Python and Swift.
• Prioritize feature and campaign testing along with documentation and timely delivery of end-to-end testing.
• Provide testing scope/overview documentation, test plan, test results, and associated tickets for resolution.
• Communicate status and progress through Test Status reports, Test Metrics, Progress Reports, Coverage Reports, and Defects Reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with software quality assurance testing, with at least 3 years in mobile testing.
• 3+ years of experience designing test strategy and running test cycles on complex software projects.
• Experience with end-to-end testing across multiple applications and developing test plans and scripts.
• Experience validating native mobile applications and on-device communications for large-scale marketing efforts.
• Experience with test automation for iOS applications using Python, Swift, or related languages.
• Strong requirements analysis and advanced test design techniques.
