About the position

We are seeking an Automation Tester to join our team remotely. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong background in automation testing and are comfortable working in a telecommute environment. The Automation Tester will be responsible for enhancing and writing automation scenarios using the Cucumber framework, ensuring that our testing processes are efficient and effective. The role requires a deep understanding of existing automation frameworks and the ability to improve upon them, as well as a solid grasp of programming languages, particularly Ruby, to implement and enhance automation repositories. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to understand the requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios. You will also be expected to perform performance testing and write scenarios using JMeter, contributing to the overall quality assurance process. Familiarity with version control systems like GIT is essential, as is the ability to use automation code editors such as Eclipse or Rubymine. Additionally, knowledge of Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment processes will be beneficial. This is a contract position based in New York City, NY, offering a pay range of $44 to $49 per hour. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of high-quality software products.
