We are seeking an Automation Tester/SDET with a passion for quality and an eye for detail. This role involves a holistic approach to both UI and API testing, ensuring the reliability and performance of our software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated test cases for regression testing, improving our automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with our development team to identify and resolve defects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance testing frameworks and improve automated test coverage
  • Analyze user stories and technical requirements to understand testing requirements, performing manual verifications as needed
  • Create and maintain automated tests based on manual verification results
  • Prioritize and plan testing activities for timely completion within an Agile development environment
  • Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, and follow through on the debugging process
  • Enhance and advocate for best practices in automated testing to improve team efficiency and software quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automated testing
  • Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, or similar
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python

  • Experience with or willingness to delve deep into complex financial scenarios, understanding their impact on software functionality and user experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated interest in, or the ability to quickly learn the intricacies of personal finance, particularly as it relates to software used by financial advisors
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and testing tools
