About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Automation Tester for a client in the financial industry located in San Leandro, CA. This position is a contract role expected to last for over six months. The Automation Tester will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives, focusing on identifying opportunities for process improvements within Software Engineering. The role involves reviewing and analyzing basic or tactical Software Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. The Automation Tester will present recommendations for resolving these situations and will exercise some independent judgment while developing an understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Additionally, the Automation Tester will provide information to client personnel in Software Engineering and assist with test automation for its test suite, incorporating additional automation tests to reduce manual testing time.

Responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Software Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to client personnel in Software Engineering.
• Help with Test automation for its test suite and incorporate additional automation tests to reduce manual testing time.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automation testing with UI Path.
