About the position

The Automation Tester will be responsible for creating and executing automated test scripts to ensure high code coverage and quality software solutions. This role requires collaboration within Agile Scrum teams and a strong background in automated testing and software development, particularly with Java and Spring Frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web services, web UI, and APIs using frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or SPOCK.
• Utilize strong Java coding skills to implement test automation solutions effectively.
• Employ Spring Frameworks and tools like Cypress for automated testing.
• Integrate test automation scripts with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins and code coverage tools like Sonar to ensure 80% or higher code coverage.
• Work collaboratively within Agile Scrum teams, contributing to the testing phase of the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize test and defect management tools such as RALLY/Agile Central for tracking and reporting.
• Leverage sound knowledge of Java, Spring, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE, Rest Assured, JBehave/Cucumber frameworks, databases, and APIs (REST/SOAP) to enhance testing processes.
• Understand and implement Continuous Delivery concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo, along with vulnerability tools like Sonar and Checkmarx.

Requirements

• Strong experience in automated testing and software development, with a focus on Java and Spring Frameworks.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and able to create effective acceptance and integration test automation scripts.
• Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with vulnerability tools like Checkmarx.
• Familiarity with Continuous Delivery concepts and tools.
